Ultimate Xavier Institute
Now that you have defined your own personal story and the role you play in the stories of others, it’s time to boil that down into three distinct things that your character wants to achieve. Goals should be small scale, distinct and focused.
“Make them pay”! is an awful example of a goal. It’s too broad and unfocussed by far. It could be turned into a great belief as “Always exact revenge on those that wrong me.”.
“Make Magneto pay for what he’s done to me” is better. But it lacks any immediacy or hint of what you want to achieve right now. This could be turned into a belief and the goal “Track down Magneto so I can get my revenge” would work much better and tie it directly to the belief.
Pick one goal for your current leg of the story and one for each positions you hold as a Landmark Character.
